Ed Radtke is an indie filmmaker, writer, producer, editor, director and educator. He's made award winning features, including BOTTOM LAND and THE DREAM CATCHER, winner of 11 prizes at festivals worldwide. His feature THE SPEED OF LIFE was awarded a Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. He has decades of free lance production and filmmaking experience on countless projects: narrative features, shorts, commercials, music videos and feature docs.
He's taught at UT Austin and the creator/facilitator of media making workshops worldwide for underserved groups including: elementary school children, at-risk youth, developmentally challenged adults, women victims of domestic violence, incarcerated men and women, Native Americans and Vietnam Veterans. He's produced countless short docs and web content for various nonprofit orgs: United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Drug Policy Alliance and others. He's lectured at Columbia and NYU, facilitated workshops in Paris, China and South America, is the recipient of two NEA production grants, a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship.
Radtke co-wrote the feature AIME TON PERE, produced by Gerard Depardieu and starring Depardieu and his late son, Guillame. The film was the official Swiss entry for Best Foreign Film consideration at the Academy Awards®. Ed loves to travel and is based in Santa Fe, NM.
